I haven't updated in almost two months.  I don't know if it is good, or it is bad, but I do know that it marks change.  And like all change, for better, or for worse.

It would appear as though I have graduated from xanga.  It has been a crutch in the past of a turmoiled adolescence (after all, in such a rightfully self-centred time, how is there not turmoil?).  I have vented, shared, hopefully inspired, and all at the risk of cyberbullying and emotional intimacy with others.  Just not in the way I had hoped.  The only Word that is flesh is divinely so, and writing out a journal isn't quite the same as talking it over with someone there listening.

How have I spent the back end of my summer?  Working.  Playing video games.  Catching friends here and there, and unfortunately, not before they left.  Cleaning my room.  The scavenger hunt.  What's current with me?  I am slowly relishing the prospect of freedom from my parents, and at the same time, wanting to love them all the more, despite their failings which they have, as I do.  Despairing over the potential loss of my General Proficiency Award in my final year of high school after an unbroken streak since Grade 3, all because of the Extended Essay.  Such is life.

And so, I move on.  I have logged each and every one of these entries because this has been the longest time that I have kept a formal journal in my life.  They will serve as a formal memory of who I am when I was.  I have recorded dreams (the sleepy types and the life-ambition types), my fears, and my life in this digital logbook, and it has served me well.  Thanks to the readers for your attention and your comments.  Like currents to a loose leaf, you have changed me briefly and irrevocably.  To your life, and I suppose, mine.

One of the more interesting web sites I've come across:

Scavenger hunt is still going on by the way.  I just went out yesterday after work to do some planning, and will do so again.  Stay posted - more detailed info should come this weekend, and the hunt should take place 2 weeks following.

I'm thinking that it should run no more than 3.5 hours because a Day Pass is only available for groups on Sundays, stuff closes at 5 on Sundays, and no one wants to wake up early for something they know nothing about.

I had a very peculiar dream where I was checking my xanga, and some random person had left a message saying how I've diluted the importance of everything I've ever posted by posting so frequently and failing to pursue any of these ideas to completion.

New poll:  how difficult do you guys want this scavenger hunt to be?  The degree of difficulty is easily changeable by omitting or adding extra information, but I don't really want anyone to get stuck.
